SPA Supervisor
The SPA Supervisor training course provides people who are responsible for others with the skills, knowledge and confidence to supervise safely. It provides an introduction to human factors, and how they influence safety in the workplace. It features an Exercise, requiring candidates to write down the one thing they could start tomorrow, to most improve the safety performance of their workers
Delegates will be introduced to human factors, and how they influence safety in the workplace
5 Learning Modules which include; Review of Health & Safety law and responsibilities for clients and contractors; Safety management systems and continuous improvement Information handover and communications, giving out work effectively; Individual capabilities, competence, team work and behaviours; Tool box talk methodology and examples; Accidents – definition, prevention, investigation; Exercises are run throughout the day to emphasise the learning points and check confirmation of understanding
On completion of the SPA Supervisor course delegates will have the knowledge to:
- Demonstrate their understanding of the subjects by successfully completing the assessment paper
- Appreciate how they personally can influence good standards within health safety & environment.
- Understand the value of risk assessment and control documentation
- Understand the requirements for supervising others, considering behavioural safety requirements
After the successful completion of the course a passport will be issued with a three year expiry date. Successfully completing all assessment papers will result in a renewed safety passport being issued. The new passport is valid for 3 years and can be refreshed anytime during the 6 months before
