NEBOSH National General Certificate

If you are a Health and Safety Adviser in a low risk environment, or if you are just starting out on a career in safety, the NEBOSH National General Certificate course will provide a solid foundation on which to build your knowledge. Although there are no prerequisite learning requirements, delegates who have sat the IOSH Managing Safely course previously have achieved better results. A solid understanding of English is required, both orally and written, in order to understand the course material and to sit the examinations

To achieve the NEBOSH National General Certificate requires successful completion of the two unit assessments; you must achieve a ‘Pass’ in each unit to be awarded the qualification. You will have five years to complete your qualification. The five-year period starts from the date you passed your first successful unit (we call this the ‘declaration date’). Any unit that is five or more years old will not count towards the qualification and you will need to retake this/these unit(s) if you still want to complete the qualification

Delegates successfully completing this programme who can demonstrate at least 5 years in a health and safety role will be eligible to apply for Tech IOSH membership of the Institution

Delegates can further their knowledge and qualifications by attending the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety course
